Environment influences behavior at different
levels. Immediate behavior is a function
of the settings in which it occurs. For
example, the arrangement of furniture

people in the room interact. The characteristic
personality make-up of persons in a habitat
is shaped by the nature and type of environment
to which they are subjected for long periods
of time.
